Poetry and Prose
In addition to artwork, I write poetry and prose. I use it as a way to de-stress and cope with life and its' daily struggles. In 2020, I used quarantine time to check "writing a book" off my bucket list. Thus, Where Flowers Go to Die was born! I also consistently write poetry and post it to my Instagram @emptygirlpoetry. I am currently stockpiling material in hopes to return to the book writing process and publish a second collection. If you are interested in my work, it is listed on Amazon. The Kindle edition is free, but there's a sort of irreplaceable nuance when it comes to holding a freshly printed book in your hands.
Release
Rain pools into the crevices
From the crack in the driver's side
Window.
The Sky has decided to violently
And vehemently
Tear herself down,
As if no one is watching
And she's home alone
On the kitchen floor,
Surrounded by stacked dishes
That have been growing gardens for months,
Sprouting from musty sinks,
If only to say that life has abandoned her
And all that's left to do is...
